Last Night, PBS aired “In Performance at the White House: Women of Soul,” featuring Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Jill Scott, Janelle Monae, and more.
The president opened the show and introduced the Queen of Soul. Throughout the evening, the Obamas looked like they really wanted to get up and groove… They came close a couple of times, especially during Jilly Scott’s set, which included her hit single “Golden” and a cover of Franklin’s “Rock Steady.”
